Ready to haul, tow, and enjoy the ride? The Toyota Tundra arrives for 2024 with a powerful yet efficient powertrain, top technologies, and plenty of upscale amenities for customers who don’t want to give up comfort for capability. Check it out.
The 2024 Toyota Tundra is powered by a twin-turbocharged i-FORCE 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is rated at 389 horsepower and 379 lb-ft of torque. It can be upgraded to an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain, which adds an electric motor to crank the power up to 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. When properly configured with this engine, the Tundra can tow up to 12,000 pounds while still earning an EPA-estimated 20 mpg combined. You can also drive the Tundra on electric power alone at low speeds or under light loads.
Because of the clever placement of the electric motor within the 10-speed automatic transmission system, the Tundra’s throttle response is exceptionally quick, giving you plenty of grunt at any speed and with any load. The bed is good for hauling up to 1,940 pounds, and thanks to the special sheet-molded compound used to construct it, dents and scratches are heavily reduced. As for rust — the bed material is literally immune to it.
Few trucks can stand up to the wilderness like the Toyota Tundra. If you’ve got a mind for exploring the Pennsylvania outdoors, you should definitely check out the Tundra TRD Pro, which has been outfitted with a wide range of off-roading features. It has 18-inch BBS® forged alloy wheels, thick all-terrain tires, a quarter-inch skid underbody skid plate, and specially tuned FOX® shocks. That comes in addition to Multi-Terrain Select technology, which makes it easier to tackle different types of terrain, and a Crawl Control mode that takes charge of creeping forward while you focus on navigating around and over low-speed obstacles. And if you’re just looking for a little extra off-road capability but don’t quite need everything the TRD Pro offers, there are other Tundra TRD trims for you to check out.
The 2024 Toyota Tundra doesn’t just work hard at moving heavy objects or getting you over obstacles, but also at keeping you comfortable. Introduced this generation, the Tundra’s luxurious Capstone trim takes premium truck driving to another level with features like semi-aniline perforated leather appointments, multi-stage heating and ventilated seats, and authentic Dark American Walnut decorative trim. The Tundra Capstone also comes with a panoramic sunroof, letting in more natural light into the spacious cabin, and features acoustically laminated windows. This further reduces unwanted noise from the outside, reducing fatigue on long trips and making it easier to appreciate the quality of the high-fidelity 12-speaker JBL® sound system.
The tech powering the Tundra’s infotainment system is as good as it gets. It runs on a large 14-inch touch-screen display with built-in wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Bluetooth® connectivity that works for two devices at the same time, and an optional Wi-Fi hotspot capable of connecting up to ten devices to the internet simultaneously. That makes the Tundra ideal for families, groups, or even just individuals working nearby or hosting tailgate parties.
It doesn’t stop there, though. The Tundra’s infotainment system is capable of over-the-air software updates, offers cloud-based navigation, and comes with a smart Toyota AI assistant that gets better at understanding you and your needs over time. Just say “Hey Toyota” and ask it anything.
